No, you do not need a special license to drive our RVs. However, you must have a valid driver's license and be at least 25 years old. All drivers must be listed on the insurance.

Yes! We love animals. Up to two pets are allowed. Pet rent of $20/day per animal and a $100 pet cleaning fee apply. If there were to be any damage caused by the animal, it would be the owner's responsibility to pay for repairs/cleaning.
Hook-ups are best if you plan to leave the animal in the van for any length of time. This is the safest way to ensure that they will be safely air conditioned with the overhead unit, as the AC does not run on solar/battery and leaving the generator or engine running is not feasible.
Drop-off and pick-up are possible and should be noted on your booking request. Please refer to the Pricing page for rates applicable to frequently used drop-off and pick-up locations such as the Sacramento Airport.
Generally, the pick-up time is 3pm or later and drop-off time is 12 noon. We would love to accommodate you with an earlier or a later schedule (if needed) and will do so if possible. Please note this in your booking request.
This vehicle has a 30AMP hook-up for electricity. The hoses and cords are all available for your use. An in-line water filter is provided, along with a tap water filter.

Go West to The Square in Sonoma to eat at The Girl and the Fig.
Southwest, in Santa Cruz, is our favorite KOA for family camping. This KOA features a playground, jumping pillows, bike rentals, rock climbing (and is only 15 minutes from Capitola Beach). On the way there, detour to the Bay Area Discovery Museum at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (park this rig right next to the water, it's amazing!). You can also park at the Vallejo ferry terminal and take a boat ride under the Golden Gate Bridge to the San Francisco ferry terminal. Grab a cup of Blue Bottle coffee and enjoy it while a bike taxi takes you a half-mile to the Exploratorium. For over-night RV parking, with easy access to the SF Ferry Terminal, Park at the Larkspur RV park, which is only a 10-minute walk to the ferry terminal and has access to a bird-watching nature preserve with trails.
The Fort is an excellent rig to take off-grid. It has solar, which along with the generator and engine will charge the lithium-ion battery. Not everything can be run on solar alone, but as long as you have gasoline, everything will function. Generally, the solar alone will charge the battery enough for the lights, outlets, instant hot water heater, furnace, fridge, water pump, TV, and eurobed. It may need a boost from the generator or engine when using the induction cooktop, awning or AC because they draw high amps. The fridge and furnace run off the onboard propane, but they do have minor electrical components to run.
No, this vehicle is 2-wheel drive, which is one reason it gets excellent gas mileage. It is not designed for off-roading, snow or soft/deep sand.
